Recently, Honda announced that the company was refreshing its popular Honda CR-V for 2020, with the model receiving updated styling, even more features, and upgraded powertrains. In an exciting development, they also reported that the Honda CR-V Hybrid, the company's first-ever hybrid electric SUV, will be built in Greensburg, IN.

The 2020 Honda CR-V will boast bolder styling both front and back, with redesigned wheels adding to the SUV's stance. HondaSensing® is included as a standard feature, helping to keep you safer on the local roads, while the 1.5-liter VTEC® turbocharged four-cylinder engine, previously only offered for EX and higher trim levels, is now standard issue as well.

The Honda CR-V Hybrid, an addition to the roster of new Honda models, maintains the elements that make its traditionally-powered sibling so appealing. However, it will be equipped with an advanced hybrid powertrain that's comprised of a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine and two electric motors. Operating without the need for a traditional automatic transmission, this powertrain delivers smooth power, electric-only operation, and a design approach that doesn't limit available cargo space. This model will feature hybrid badging and a singular blue Honda logo in the center of the grille, noting its unique appeal in a subtle manner.

The 2020 Honda CR-V will be released later this fall, while the Honda CR-V Hybrid is expected to arrive at our dealership early next year. To learn more about either of these SUVs, contact Concord Honda, your East Bay Honda dealership, and speak with one of our team members.
