The muffler is the final piece of the exhaust system. If any of these components isn't working properly, you could notice it in the way that your vehicle functions.
When your exhaust system is working well, not only is it quieter, but the air that you breathe is cleaner and your gas mileage will be better. And, of course, you'll be able to pass the fuel emissions test when you have an exhaust system that's in top shape.
